WAS JESUS, SPIRITUALLY, A WOMAN IN MALE FORM?

Was Jesus, spiritually, a woman in male form –
And is this why Evangelical men have recently desired
To establish a more “muscular” Christianity –
In order to cover up the shame of this truth?

Did Paul understand this by saying that, in Christ, there’s neither male nor female –
Because he understood that spirit bypasses all sex roles?
Moreover, is it possible that the men rushed to claim leadership of the Church
Because women appeared so naturally spiritual – so unmaterialistic –
So similar to Christ?

Jesus didn’t appreciate ambition-led male hierarchies – and neither do women today –
Moreover, he despised male hypocrisy, as do women who suffer most by it.

Jesus once imagined himself as a “mother hen” –
Is that why male theologians insisted upon replacing that poetic image
With the actual mother of Jesus?

So, let’s take all that fantastic Mariology and place it like a shawl around Jesus’ shoulders –
And then remove all the Davidic secular “power” that had so long been waited for
And that Constantine later appropriated to shore up his waning Empire –

What you’d be left with is a spiritual woman in male form
Who allows herself to be stretched across a Cross
Swallowing suffering like a woman giving birth
To a new world dedicated solely to God

That is, to “her” Mother.

“BORN AGAIN” – AN INFINITE NUMBER OF TIMES

Childhood is the closest most of us will ever get to Christ –
On average, people, as they grow older, become harder, deader in important parts,
And increasingly brittle.

This demonstrates that we may also be moving in the wrong direction spiritually –
So, before we grow any older, we need to consider turning
And becoming more childlike in our souls.

We need to do this without giving up our lifetime of experience –
Retaining our hard-earned maturity.

The joy and light that, hopefully, will start growing brighter in us –
Eventually could even turn into the “twinkle” of a new-born baby –
A few older people have achieved this – think, for example, of the Dalai Lama
Or another mature person with this kind of sparkle that you might already know.

That would, of course, make one the most mature “baby” – ever –
Since, by that time, we’d have experienced being “born again” –
An infinite number of times.

SPIRITUAL STATIC

What’s “good” would be to have a direct relationship with God –
That’s the ultimate!

Christianity, however, requires a relationship between its believers and Christ –
Who, in turn, has a great relationship with God.

Personally, I view Jesus as a “shining example”
Of someone able to achieve a direct relationship with God –
Not to sublimate to – but to emulate
Especially since neither the Bible nor any church or other religious institution,
And not even Jesus himself (no matter what the religion says), is capable of substituting
For the real God.

BEAUTY TAKES ITS TIME

The world doesn’t judge
Much less take notice of
What we do.

Most of the time, we’re not sinners –
Only imperfectly real –
No matter how many Messianic feathers we stick in our caps.

The real reason we can’t directly see God – or anything else for that matter –
Is because our ego mask has no real “eyes” –
Except for a couple of tiny mirrors
Reflecting ourselves.

The truth is: There’s no real
“Christ,” “Church,” or “Bible” –
They don’t actually exist!
Just God, who they only partially represent, is truly alive in our world.

For example, it’s love that makes possible “real” life,
Truth that opens minds to original ideas
And allowing justice to others that gives us the ability to compromise –

Beauty, for its part, however, always takes its own time
Opening a door for God to enter –
Which is why an experience of true beauty is so magical –
So much so that everyone dreams of experiencing it “in full flower”
At least once in their lives!
